A: ICOG is the Illinois Criminal Offense Guide. This is a Guide for the Police Officers and Prosecutors of Illinois to guide them in fitting the right charge for the crime. It also has the Illinois Sentencing Guide that helps fit the correct sentence for the crime committed.
Q: You say there are 3 different versions, which is best?
A: All 3 versions have exactly the same information. There is really no best version and it depends on how you are accustomed or want to get your information. The 3-Ring binder edition is in 2 books. Volume I has the Illinois Criminal Charging Guide and Volume II has the Appendixes and The Illinois Sentencing Guide and Illinois Offense Digest. The CD edition has all of the items listed above in 1 large Portfolio. The CD edition is completely searchable via a search box on every page. This On-Line edition has the same information and is searchable.
Q: How can I obtain access to this Website?
A: Simply click on the “Sign-up” button on the top of this or any page of this Website. Fill out the ICOG Registration Form and we will send you the access information.
